Job summary

Aramark UK in Swindon is seeking an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to oversee on-site catering operations at New College Swindon.

You will lead a team, ensure food hygiene and safety, and deliver high service standards while managing costs and events. The role is Monday to Friday, with term-time scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing catering staff and operations.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination and delivery of catering services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and high service standards.
• Lead, train and motivate catering staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and compliance with policies.
• Ensure food hygiene, health and safety and licensing regulations are followed, with regular checks and accurate records.
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints professionally and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, reduce waste and support cost control measures to achieve financial targets.
• Coordinate catering for meetings, functions and events, ensuring food, beverage and service are delivered successfully.
