BAM FM is recruiting an Assistant Catering Contracts Manager to be based at Elmwood House, Bridgwater.

This role supports the Contracts Manager for catering in Somerset Schools, overseeing 6 production kitchen hubs and service delivery. Join us to help shape school meals delivery within Somerset and nearby areas, supporting Universal Free School Meals and broader service needs.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for ongoing development in a creative, supportive environment.

Your mission

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you'll collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues, demonstrating excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills. You should have catering project management experience, be a craft-trained chef, and be responsible for service development, staffing, recruitment, training, menu development, school auditing, and attending meetings.

You must be flexible and adaptable to business needs. Due to geographic considerations, you'll also cover kitchen absences as needed.

• Membership of BIFM (desirable)
• Health & Safety management experience (IOSH or NEBOSH, desirable)
