Job summary

Aldridge School is seeking a Caretaker to join our team. Reporting to the Facilities Manager you will undertake: Open, secure and monitor school buildings and grounds, act as a key holder and respond to emergency call-outs.

Carry out general maintenance and caretaking duties to keep the site safe and welcoming. You will monitor heating, lighting and energy usage, receive deliveries, and assist with events and lettings.

Qualifications

• Educated to a satisfactory standard with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience undertaking caretaking or site maintenance duties.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH) desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Pay range: Grade 5 SCP 9-17

Qualifications and Skills:

Educated to a satisfactory standard with good written and verbal communication skills. Full driving licence. Experience undertaking a range of caretaking or site maintenance duties. Ability to carry out minor repairs and maintenance work. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, desirable. Basic ICT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, desirable. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
