Job summary

Bexhill College is seeking an Assistant Caretaker to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The role includes indoor and outdoor duties, with flexible scheduling and a willingness to contribute to groundswork and daily caretaking tasks.

The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check and may be invited to train for driving the college minibus. This is a full-time, permanent post.

• Willingness to train to drive the college minibus is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance as part of groundswork.
• Keep college environment safe, clean and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
• Assist with day-to-day caretaking tasks and general repairs as needed.
• Support safeguarding checks and participate in online verification if shortlisted.

£24,759-£25,159 pro rata depending on skills and experience.

Are you a reliable, proactive individual looking to make a positive impact in a vibrant educational environment? We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Caretaker to join our team and ensure our college remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained space for our students, staff, and visitors.

This is a full time, all year round post.

You will need to be proactive, reliable and approachable, as well as being flexible and adaptable working within this busy environment. No two days are the same. You will need to enjoy working both inside and outside as groundswork forms part of the role. You will need to be able to use your intiaitve and be a self starter.

A willingness to train to drive the college minibus would be an advantage.
