Job summary

OneSchool Global United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Campus Principal with DSL responsibility for Ashbrook Campus in Coventry. The role supports educational excellence, student wellbeing, safeguarding and strategic campus leadership to drive teaching quality and inclusive culture.

You will work with the Campus Principal to lead safeguarding, line-manage staff, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with standards and inspections, while promoting high attainment for all students.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and a relevant degree.
• Significant teaching experience across Key Stages 3-5.
• Leadership, middle or senior leadership experience in an educational setting.
• Current Designated Safeguarding Lead training or willingness to obtain upon appointment.
• Prevent Duty training and safeguarding knowledge.
• Excellent understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Independent School Standards.
• Experience using data to drive school improvement and student outcomes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding investigations, strategy discussions, and multi-agency meetings.

OneSchool Global UK has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Campus Principal with Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsibility to join our Ashbrook Campus in Coventry. This is a key leadership role, with responsibility for supporting educational excellence, student wellbeing and safeguarding across the campus.

As a senior member of the Campus Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Campus Principal, supporting the strategic leadership and effective day-to-day management of the campus. You will play an important role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture, and ensuring that students are supported to achieve their full potential.

Alongside your wider leadership responsibilities, you will act as the campus Designated Safeguarding Lead, providing clear leadership and oversight of safeguarding and child protection. You will ensure that robust safeguarding practices are embedded across the campus and that all statutory requirements, policies and procedures are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding & Student Welfare (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead)

• Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in leading safeguarding and child protection across the campus
• Act as a source of advice, guidance, and support for staff on safeguarding matters and manage safeguarding concerns, referrals, and record keeping in line with statutory guidance
• Liaise with external agencies including Children's Social Care, Police, Early Help Services, Local Authorities, and safeguarding partners where appropriate
• Support safeguarding investigations, strategy discussions, and multi-agency meetings
• Monitor vulnerable students and contribute to plans that promote their safety, wellbeing, attendance, and educational outcomes

Leadership & School Improvement

• Support the Campus Principal in the leadership and management of the campus and drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, student attainment, and progress
• Provide day-to-day leadership, inspiration, and support to teaching and support staff
• Promote and develop learner wellbeing across all key stages
• Contribute to the School Improvement Plan, self-evaluation, and campus performance reporting
• Ensure compliance with Independent School Standards and inspection requirements
• Line manage allocated staff, including performance management, appraisal, induction, and probation processes

Teaching & Learning

• Maintain high-quality classroom teaching aligned with the Teachers' Standards
• Support staff in delivering engaging, differentiated, and inclusive lessons
• Promote self-directed learning and effective use of digital learning platforms
• Act as Form Tutor for a designated year group where required
• Lead and facilitate staff CPD, coaching, and mentoring opportunities

About You

We are looking for an experienced educational leader who is passionate about student achievement, staff development, and safeguarding excellence.

You will demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and a relevant degree
• Significant teaching experience across Key Stages 3-5
• Experience in a leadership, middle leadership, or senior leadership role within an educational setting
• Current Designated Safeguarding Lead training (or willingness to achieve this immediately upon appointment)
• Prevent Duty training and strong safeguarding knowledge
