Job summary

IWFM in Central London is seeking an ambitious Assistant Building Manager to join a flagship commercial asset. You will work closely with a Building Manager to ensure exceptional service delivery in a prestigious, well‑managed environment.

You will support day‑to‑day building management, liaise with occupiers and contractors, monitor service performance, and assist with health and safety compliance including RAMS and statutory obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Assistant Building Manager, Facilities Coordinator or similar role within commercial property.
• Sound understanding of building services and health and safety compliance.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Proactive and professional approach; IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications viewed favourably though not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of the building and ensure high standards of service delivery across facilities management.
• Liaise with occupiers and contractors and monitor service performance.
• Assist with health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, RAMS and statutory obligations.
• Support service charge administration, budget tracking and reporting.
• Maintain overall presentation and operational efficiency of the asset.

In return, the role offers a salary of up to 47,000 plus a generous benefits package including a discretionary bonus.

The successful candidate will support the day–to–day management of the building, helping to ensure the highest standards of service delivery across both hard and soft facilities management services. The role will involve liaising with occupiers and contractors, monitoring service performance, and assisting with health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, RAMS and statutory obligations. You will also support service charge administration, budget tracking and reporting, while helping to maintain the overall presentation and operational efficiency of the asset.

Applicants should have prior experience in an Assistant Building Manager, Facilities Coordinator or similar role within commercial property. A sound understanding of building services and health and safety compliance is essential, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive and professional approach is key, and candidates with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications will be viewed favourably, though this is not essential.
