Job summary

Project Centre in London is seeking an Assistant Bridge Engineer with 1–2 years of civil engineering experience to contribute to design, assessment and inspection of bridges and civil structures. You will gain hands-on experience across design, assessment and inspection projects within a collaborative environment aimed at developing technical expertise and progression toward chartered status.

You'll apply structural engineering principles, Eurocodes and UK design standards while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1–2 years experience in civil engineering.
• Experience supporting design, assessment or inspection of UK bridges and civil structures.
• Knowledge of structural mechanics and UK design standards.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design, assessment and inspection of bridges and civil structures.
• Producing technical calculations, reports, and engineering drawings.
• Applying structural engineering principles and UK design standards to deliver practical solutions.
• Structural analysis and assessments.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver projects safely, on time and to high quality.
• Managing your own workload to meet project programmes and deadlines.
• Following Project Centre's Quality Management System and safe systems of work.
• Promoting sustainable engineering solutions wherever possible.
• Supporting multidisciplinary teams across the wider business.
• Continuing professional development towards chartered or incorporated status.
