Job summary

Project Centre in London is seeking an Assistant Bridge Engineer to join our Structures team. If you have 1–2 years’ civil engineering experience and an interest in bridge design, this is a great next step.

You will assist with design, assessment and inspection of bridges, contribute to technical calculations and drawings, and develop toward chartered status while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1-2 years' experience in civil/bridge engineering.
• Experience with design, assessment or inspection of UK bridges.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, assessment and inspection of bridges and civil structures.
• Produce technical calculations, reports and drawings.
• Apply structural engineering principles to highway structures.
• Perform structural analysis and assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and safely.
• Manage your own workload to meet deadlines.
• Support quality management and safe working practices.
