Job summary

Crawley Borough Council is seeking an Assistant Compliance and Asset Assurance Manager to oversee compliance across the council's property estate. You’ll manage contractors, monitor planned maintenance, and ensure statutory inspections are completed on time, supporting ISO standards and data accuracy.

Ideal candidates are organised, analytical and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, building or asset management
• Understanding of statutory building compliance including fire, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, gas safety
• Organised, analytical, proactive with strong communication
• Contract management and stakeholder relationship skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance programmes across the property portfolio
• Manage specialist contractors and monitor planned maintenance
• Ensure critical inspections and certifications are completed on time
• Develop robust compliance systems and support ISO standards
