Job summary

RG Consultancy are working with a reputable company based in Oldham who are recruiting an Assistant Accountant. You will support the Management Accountant in ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will join a medium sized finance team and work within the department to support continuing growth and support ongoing improvements. You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, ledgers and journal work, with exposure to monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or studying towards.
Experience with SAGE is an advantage but not essential.
Strong IT & MS Excel skills.
Basic maths and written skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Bank reconciliations, purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control duties.
Weekly payment runs.
BACs payments.
Processing high volume purchase invoices.
Accruals and prepayments.
Assist with the journals.
Assisting in preparation of the monthly management accounts.
Maintenance of fixed asset register.
Assist with the balance sheet reconciliations.
Other adhoc duties.
