Exclusive to TPF Recruitment - Our client is a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Maidstone. They are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant (Practice) to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally be studying the AAT, or be AAT qualified with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in practice, or qualified by experience.

Within this position, the successful candidate will be given excellent opportunities to progress within their technical ability and career while working with a supportive team. They will also be offered AAT/ ACCA/ ACA study support, the opportunity to work a hybrid pattern, and a highly competitive remuneration package.

Our client services a range of local owner-managed businesses from sole traders to Ltd companies and partnerships.

• Preparation of, or support with, bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of clients
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Support with statutory accounts preparation
• Preparation of corporate tax, personal tax, and CIS returns
• Supporting directors with ad-hoc advisory work

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant (Practice) to join a modern, forward-thinking, and supportive chartered accountancy practice in Maidstone.

Requirements

• You will be AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within practice
• Experience with cloud software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is advantageous
