Job summary

Bestway Group in the United Kingdom is looking for an Assistant Accountant to manage cost accruals, prepayments, and the fixed assets schedule, while processing commission payments and analysing weekly and monthly margins. You will produce promotional claims, liaise with the central payables team, and contribute to the annual budget.

The role requires a commercially focused part-qualified accountant with strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant with planning and reporting experience.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyse the weekly margin report and identify discrepancies; produce monthly margin report.
• Calculate and post monthly cost accruals and prepayments; explain month-on-month variances.
• Participate in annual budget setting for costs.
• Collate payment information for commission payments and obtain manager approvals.
• Ensure promotional funding is applied and margin reports stay up to date; produce claims monthly.
• Maintain fixed asset schedule and monthly depreciation journal.
• Liaise with central payables to code invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Undertake ad-hoc analysis tasks as required by management.
