Job summary

D.M.Keith Ltd, based in York, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the accounts team. The role involves supporting the dealership accountant with day-to-day accounting tasks and maintaining accurate records in a busy automotive environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in accounting/finance, be well organised, and able to maintain high attention to detail. We offer world-class training and opportunities for progression within the business.

Qualifications

Experience in accounting/finance.
Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
Able to support the dealership accountant in day-to-day accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

To support the efficient administration of the accounts department.
To provide a consistent level of customer service, representative of ourselves and our manufacturers.
To ensure purchase invoices are logged, approved and appropriately coded.
Complete reconciliations.
To ensure correct costs including bonus are allocated to the correct vehicles.
To ensure that all invoices/credits are issued correctly.
To maintain a simple filing system & accurate records for VAT input and output.
Demonstrate good communication.
Assist the dealership accountant.
