Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd is supporting a well-established client in expanding their finance team. They seek an Assistant Accountant to work directly with the Head of Finance, supporting month-end processes and maintaining accurate records.

You will contribute to accounts packs, reconciliations, accruals, journals and daily finance operations, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting. Flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar finance role is essential.
• Confidence with Sage and Excel is highly beneficial.
• Studying towards AAT or recently completing your qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of monthly accounts pack.
• Update monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Process bank payments and receipts.
• Regular reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Manage cash flow including foreign currency requirements.
• Prepare overhead detail for budgets/forecasts.
• Assist in regular and ad hoc financial reports.
• Monthly downloading of timesheets and data reconciliation.
• Maintain up-to-date finance filing.
