Campbell Grove Talent are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join an established international business based in Ossett. This is an ideal entry role for someone starting their ACCA/CIMA journey, offering strong study support and a clear path to progression.

The role provides hybrid working (2 days in the office) and exposure to a range of finance activities across the business, helping you develop broadly rather than being tied to one task.

Qualifications

• Experience in month-end duties including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Excel proficiency and comfortable with numbers.
• Good attention to detail and problem solving.
• Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Clear communicator across the business.
• Keen to learn and develop in finance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting month-end processes including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Reviewing balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• Monitoring overheads and assisting with budget and forecast reporting.
• Supporting banking, payments and cash flow activities.
• Reviewing employee expenses and resolving queries.
• Assisting with audit requests and providing financial information.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the business to answer finance queries.
• Helping improve finance processes and data usage.
• Getting involved in ad hoc finance and business improvement projects.

Campbell Grove Talent are on the look out for an Assistant Accountant to join an established international business. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants broader experience and the chance to build towards their ACCA or CIMA qualification.

It's a varied role, so you'll get exposure to plenty of different areas rather than being stuck doing the same thing every day.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting month-end, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.

About you

You could already be working as an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or in a similar role, or perhaps you're looking for your next step after gaining some initial finance experience.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has good experience in month end duties
• Is confident using Excel and working with numbers.
• Has good attention to detail and enjoys solving problems.
• Can manage their own workload and meet deadlines.
• Communicates well with people across the business.
