Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting or finance role, with a good understanding of transactional finance and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident using financial systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
• Experience in Manufacturing industry would be a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier and customer invoices, expenses, accruals and basic provisions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier and customer accounts.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions with the parent company, ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date.
• Support payment processing, cash allocation and the follow-up of overdue receivables where required.
• Support monthly and annual financial close processes and prepare information for financial reporting.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock control activities.
• Support the preparation of VAT returns and reconcile VAT to management accounts, investigating any discrepancies or omissions.
• Coordinate information for external accountants, auditors and tax advisers, ensuring documentation is accurate and readily available.
• Maintain accurate financial records and master data within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Act as the local key user for Dynamics 365, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the system.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

About You

• Committed to professional development and working towards, or continuing with, a recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA.
