Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ideally, AAT qualifications or studying ACCA/CIMA; relevant experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Maintaining accurate financial records and investigating discrepancies
• Processing journals, accruals and prepayments
• Assisting with purchase ledger and sales ledger activities
• Supporting VAT returns and other financial reporting requirements
• Working closely with the finance team to improve processes and efficiencies
