Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant ideally with bothpurchase ledger and accounts receivable experience to join our growing finance team. This role is critical in supporting our day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to ledger management and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare payment runs and liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries
• Support month-end closing by providing relevant ledger information and reconciliations
• Assist with the coding and posting of invoices in line with company procedures
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper approvals and documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general accounting duties as required
• Support audit processes by providing necessary purchase ledger documentation

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Strong experience within a similar role previously, and able to deal with ambiguity and a fast paced start up environment
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls
• Able to prove adaptability to accounting software and ERP systems, strong excel skills would be an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams
