Job summary

Confero Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an Asset Officer to join a Property Services team delivering housing stock services. The fixed-term role (6-12 months) supports the Asset Manager with maintenance, compliance, and sustainability initiatives across homes.

The role emphasizes planned and cyclical works, data management, and stakeholder liaison to progress net-zero ambitions and energy-efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a social housing property team is preferred.
• Experience with compliance and asset management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of asset management strategy.
• Help develop long-term maintenance and improvement plans.
• Contribute to integrating net-zero and energy-efficiency targets into asset planning.
• Identify investment priorities based on condition, compliance and sustainability.
• Assist with managing compliance across gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, lifts, asbestos, damp and mould.
• Maintain compliance registers and ensure inspections and remedial actions are completed on time.
• Support delivery of SHQS, EESSH and wider sustainability standards.
• Support delivery of planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
• Monitor progress, budgets and contractor performance.
• Help coordinate major projects, ensuring quality, value for money and minimal disruption to tenants.
• Assist with contractor oversight, quality assurance and performance reviews.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met, particularly around compliance and sustainability.
• Provide regular updates on compliance, planned works and net-zero progress.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, including ARC submissions.
• Maintain accurate data within asset management and compliance systems.
• Act as a point of contact for asset and compliance queries.
• Keep up to date with legislation, best practice and sustainability developments.
• Support tenant communications and wider community projects.

Key Responsibilities

Ideally you will have experience working in a Social Housing property team, and have experience in compliance and asset management. You should also be able to display -
