Northumbrian Water Group is seeking an Asset Modelling Data Scientist for a full-time role with hybrid working and an office in Pity Me, Durham. The position involves building data-driven models to forecast asset performance and guide investment decisions.

Working within the asset modelling team, you will use analytics, modelling and optimisation to support PR29 planning and decision making, with collaboration across operational and planning functions. DBS may be required.

Qualificações

• Experience solving problems using data mining techniques and statistical modelling.
• Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills with stakeholders at varying levels.
• Skilled in data analysis, modelling, machine learning and programming, with knowledge of R or Python; proficiency to be developed in R.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver solutions to strategic, tactical and operational business challenges through data analytics, statistical modelling, simulation and optimisation.
• Gather, transform, validate and prepare asset and operational data from SQL and geospatial databases for analysis and modelling.
• Develop and maintain asset performance, deterioration and forecasting models; apply optimisation techniques for intervention and investment decisions.
• Produce forecasts of asset condition and performance and recommend interventions to support service plans.
