James Andrews Recruitment is partnered with a Greater Manchester housing association recruiting an Asset Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The role offers a salary band of £51,000 - £60,000 and requires recent experience in asset management within social housing.

You will lead the asset management strategy, oversee maintenance programmes, compliance, and investment planning, while working closely with residents to improve service and asset performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in asset management within social housing, local authority, or residential property environments.
• Strong knowledge of planned maintenance programmes, stock investment planning, and lifecycle asset management.
• Experience overseeing statutory compliance, building safety, and HHSRS requirements across a housing portfolio.
• Demonstrable ability to manage budgets, contractors, and stakeholder relationships while delivering excellent resident outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset management strategy across the portfolio.
• Manage cyclical maintenance programmes and major works.
• Oversee statutory compliance and building safety requirements.
• Drive HHSRS compliance and property condition improvements.
• Budget management and contractor performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with residents and stakeholders to improve asset performance and satisfaction.
• Support long-term investment planning of housing stock.
