Job summary

DeverellSmith Group in London is seeking an MRICS-qualified Asset Manager to join an in-house team overseeing a mixed-use portfolio including commercial, residential and flexible workspace.

You will manage day-to-day performance, maximise rental income, and drive portfolio value with two to four years' post-qualification experience. Strong Excel and financial analysis skills are essential, with Argus experience advantageous.

Asset Manager - Client-Side, Mixed-Use Portfolio

London | £60,000-£70,000 + Bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an MRICS-qualified surveyor looking to make the move into a client-side role.

We are representing an established and growing property business seeking an Asset Manager to join its in-house team. The portfolio comprises a diverse mix of commercial, residential and mixed-use assets, including retail, offices and flexible workspace.

Ideally suited to someone with two to four years' post-qualification experience within a recognised property consultancy, this role offers the opportunity to take greater ownership of assets, influence investment decisions and drive portfolio performance.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day performance of a varied property portfolio.
• Maximising rental income and identifying opportunities to enhance capital value.
• Developing and implementing asset management strategies and business plans.
• Preparing financial forecasts, cash flow models, budgets and investment appraisals.
• Managing lease events, including rent reviews, renewals, breaks and re-gears.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be MRICS-qualified, with two to four years' post-qualification experience, ideally within commercial property consultancy.

You will demonstrate:

• Strong commercial property and asset management experience.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with financial data, cash flows and investment appraisals.
• Strong Excel skills; Argus experience would be advantageous.
• A good understanding of landlord and tenant matters.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to improve asset performance.
• A proactive, self-starting approach, with the confidence to take ownership, use initiative and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present recommendations to senior management.
