Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Asset Manager for Wythenshawe Hospital to lead asset management across the estate. You will shape asset strategies, maintain the asset register, and collaborate with engineering, compliance and operations teams to convert data into actionable insights for safe, efficient hospital operation.

Ideal candidates have experience in complex PFI environments, strong data and reporting skills, and the ability to influence across functions while ensuring NHS data and change-control

Qualifications

• Experience in managing assets within healthcare estates or similar environments.
• Proven ability to develop asset lifecycle strategies and data-driven recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and manage site Asset Lifecycle Management strategies to optimise performance and longevity.
• Update asset register and enable data integration with Maximo.
• Manage relationships with PFI consortium partners and stakeholders.
• Use data analysis to support asset interventions and risk assessment.
• Lead training of teams to improve asset management capabilities and compliance.
• Ensure data management, change control, and NHS obligations with audits and improvements.
• Prepare reports, guidance documents and policies supporting asset objectives.
• Interpret technical drawings and data using IT tools like Office, AutoCAD and project management software.

Are you ready to take ownership of asset management across one of the UK's largest healthcare estates?

Wythenshawe Hospital is looking for an experienced Asset Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping how critical assets are managed, maintained, and planned for the future. Working closely with engineering, project, compliance, and operational teams, you'll ensure asset information, maintenance schedules, and project handovers are captured accurately and transformed into meaningful data that supports the safe and efficient running of the hospital.

This is an opportunity to make a visible impact, influence long term asset strategy, and help drive continuous improvement across a complex and evolving healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, deploy, and manage site specific Asset Lifecycle Management (LAMP) strategies to optimise asset performance and longevity
• Maintain and update the asset register in accordance with data standards, collaborating with project teams to enable seamless change data integration into Global Maximo
• Manage relationships with PFI consortium Lifecycle Partners and key stakeholders to ensure effective asset management and project delivery
• Use data analysis and scenario modelling to support decision making, risk assessment, and the development of strategic recommendations for asset interventions
• Lead the training and development of teams involved in asset management to enhance skills and ensure compliance with organisational objectives
• Ensure adherence to data management, change control protocols, and NHS Condition B obligations, with regular auditing and continuous improvement of asset management systems
• Prepare detailed reports, guidance documentation, and policies to support asset management objectives and organisational compliance
• Demonstrate strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and project management tools, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and data
