Asset Manager – Private Family Office
Salary: Up to £85,000

Location: London, UK (Regular Travel Required)

Macdonald & Company is proud to be partnering exclusively with a highly respected private family office to appoint a talented Asset Manager. This is a newly created role driven by increased market optimism and ambitious plans for strategic growth.
Working within a close-knit team, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of asset classes including real estate, funds, derivatives, listed and private equity, and debt markets. The firm manages a diverse and growing UK portfolio, spanning residential, life sciences, healthcare, mixed-use, and commercial schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a varied UK portfolio, ensuring assets perform optimally in terms of both capital growth and income yield.
• Support the Managing Director with budgeting and forecasting, working closely with the finance team to meet internal reporting deadlines.
• Lead lease negotiations, renewals, and restructures to maintain strong leasing positions and maximise long-term value.
• Oversee development, refurbishment, and repositioning projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Conduct asset performance reviews and support portfolio-wide analysis to identify and execute value-enhancement opportunities.
• Manage the letting of vacant spaces, evaluating strategic options and cost-effective improvements to boost asset value.

Candidate Profile

• MRICS qualified, with 5–8+ years’ experience in asset management or related real estate roles.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of enhancing asset value.
• Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a small, agile team.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK to oversee and manage assets.
