Base pay range

Fortiva is partnered with a reputable organisation in the social housing sector who are seeking a skilled and proactive Asset Manager (12 month FTC) to oversee and enhance the performance of a significant portfolio of Shared Ownership homes. This role comes at a pivotal time, offering the opportunity to be part of a high-profile strategic wind-down and market-leading transaction in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will lead on the following:

  • Represent the client in overseeing property management operations.
  • Approve budgets, service charges, and operating/capital expenditure.
  • Monitor and improve property performance, ensuring value and quality.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Prepare and present high-quality board materials and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including health and safety and data protection.
  • Proactively manage risks and update policies in collaboration with stakeholders.

Financial Oversight and Reporting:

  • Manage property registers, service charges, and valuations.
  • Produce and analyse performance reports, including financial and operational KPIs.
  • Prepare rolling sales forecasts and oversee supplier negotiations.

Strategic Sales Support:

  • Assist in preparing sales materials for the portfolio disposition.
  • Address asset-level queries from potential purchasers and support transaction processes.

What’s Required:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Industry Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Shared Ownership leases, residential property management, and landlord-tenant legislation. Familiarity with social housing compliance is advantageous.
  • Customer Focus: A track record of delivering high-quality service in client- and tenant-facing roles.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders and an analytical approach to reporting.
  • Proactive and Organised: The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • IT Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • MIRPM, AssocRICS, or MRICS qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a social housing or regulated asset environment is advantageous.
  • Location: London (hybrid working; minimum two days per week in the office).
  • Contract: Fixed-term, 12-month position.
