Goodman Masson is partnering with a well-established housing association in the Midlands to recruit a Director of Asset Management. This pivotal leadership role shapes long-term investment, building safety and sustainability while improving outcomes for residents and communities.

You will provide strategic leadership across Asset Management, Planned Investment, Building Safety, Compliance, Sustainability and Property Data, leading major investment programmes and a team of property professionals

Qualifications

• Senior leader with asset management and social housing experience.
• Experience with large capital investment programmes.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment for social housing.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
• Data-driven decision making essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive long-term Asset Management Strategy.
• Lead planned investment, major works and cyclical maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with building safety and property regulations.
• Drive sustainability, retrofit and decarbonisation efforts.
• Use asset data to inform investment decisions and portfolio performance.
• Manage procurement and relationships with contractors and partners.
• Oversee substantial capital budgets and financial governance.
• Develop and inspire multidisciplinary teams focused on residents.
• Build relationships with residents, regulators and boards.
• Provide strategic insight and reporting to Executive Team and Board.
