Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Limited seeks an Asset Senior Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

You will lead management of highway electrical assets, oversee maintenance programs, and ensure safety, compliance, and efficient streetlighting for the local network.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 7 engineering qualification and NVQ Level 4+ in street lighting/electrical engineering.
• Engineering Council registration (Eng. Tech) or equivalent.
• SMSTS and IET BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualified.
• Experience managing electrical assets, subcontractors, and asset management systems.
• Knowledge of unmetered supply, ILP TR22/GN22, CDM, and Chapter 8.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead highway electrical asset management ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and H&S.
• Develop and manage cyclic and reactive maintenance programmes, controlling budgets.
• Maintain accurate asset records and statutory certifications.
• Handle unmetered energy extract, accident damage, and insurance claims.
• Provide technical guidance for energy-efficient lighting and traffic schemes.
• Deputise for CMS Manager and Highways Electrical Duty Holder as required.

Location: Doncaster | Rate: £38 per hour (umbrella)

Overview

An exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Asset Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead the management of highway electrical assets in Doncaster. You will oversee maintenance, replacement, and compliance testing programmes, support street lighting policy, and ensure safety and efficiency for the local highway network.
