Job description

Ready to shape the future of thousands of homes through strategic asset intelligence? As our Asset Intelligence Manager, you'll lead the way in using high-quality data to inform investment decisions, support our Net Zero ambitions and help Yorkshire Housing deliver a more pre-emptive, customer obsessed service.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!

What we’re all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home, but we’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives. We’ve got big plans to overhaul the traditional customer service offer, build new homes that are truly future‑proof and empower our people through flexibility and freedom to do their best work. With a major focus on strengthening our asset intelligence capability, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the homes we provide.

What you'll be doing

Leading our Asset Intelligence function, you'll be responsible for making sure the data that underpins our asset management decisions is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose. From stock condition and compliance information to energy performance and asset investment data, you'll help ensure our teams have the insight they need to plan effectively and make confident decisions.

You’ll lead a team of five asset intelligence professionals, providing clear direction, support and expertise while building strong relationships with colleagues across Assets & Sustainability and the wider business.

Working closely with our Asset Investment Manager, Sustainability Lead and Head of Asset Strategy, you’ll play a key role in translating complex information into meaningful intelligence that supports business planning and strategic decision-making.

It's also an exciting time to join us. As we continue our asset management transformation journey and work towards implementing a new asset management system, you’ll help shape how we capture, manage and use data in the future. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the development of our asset intelligence capability and ensure we’re making the very best use of our data.

This is an agile homeworking role, offering flexibility while keeping you connected with colleagues across the organisation. You’ll come together with your team and key stakeholders for collaboration, meetings and shared projects whenever the need arises, so some travel to our Leeds workspace and occasionally to other sites across Yorkshire will be required.

Reporting to our Head of Asset Strategy, you’ll work closely with senior colleagues across the Assets & Sustainability function and lead a team of five asset intelligence professionals, providing guidance, mentorship and support while keeping data and insight at the heart of strategic decision‑making across Yorkshire Housing.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced leader who can combine strategic asset management expertise with a strong understanding of data, systems and analytics. You'll be comfortable getting into the detail of asset intelligence, influencing senior stakeholders and presenting information in a way that supports confident business decisions. Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about improving how we manage our homes and leading a talented team through an exciting period of transformation.

  • Significant experience working strategically within asset management, ideally across a large housing portfolio.
  • Strong expertise in asset data, systems and analytics, with experience managing large and complex datasets.
  • Experience of housing sector asset management systems (Keystone would be ideal!), with knowledge of asset management principles and business planning activities.
  • Experience of 30 year business planning and developing annual and 5 year component and retrofit delivery programmes
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to provide guidance, coaching and support to colleagues
  • The ability to analyse information, identify trends and draw out insights that influence strategic decision‑making.
  • Experience of producing reports and presenting complex information to senior leaders, Directors and Executive teams and regulator reporting.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills, with experience of working collaboratively across teams and with a range of stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of asset management legislation, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • A Level 4 Housing qualification (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards achieving one.
What’s in it for you…

Salary: £60,114.39 per annum (35 hours/week) 26 days annual leave (rising to 31 annually) + Bank Holidays Permanent Contract
