Our team at Ashcombe House is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for an Assessing Social Worker to join us. We make a genuine difference to the lives of children and their parents.
Ashcombe House in Weston-super-Mare provides residential parenting assessments for up to 6 families. The centre has been specifically designed to offer both high level 24hr support and supervision, combined with a clear progressive pathway to our own semi-independent accommodation.
The Team
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker to join us on a full time, permanent basis.
We've already come a long way since we started welcoming families in Spring 2023, and now we're looking for another Assessing Social Worker to contribute your skills and ideas to continue developing the service, forging key links with external agencies, representing the service in our work with local authorities and working closely with other Residential Family Centres as part of a national forum.
You will play an integral role in supervising our Family Support Workers, with support from our Social Work Assistants to gather high quality evidence for our parenting assessments.
Crucially, you will spend time working closely with children and their parents, sharing progress, upholding safeguarding principles, and contributing to formal review meetings.
