Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Stockport is seeking an Assembly & Test Fitter for in-house assembly and testing to exact customer specifications. You will interpret drawings, assemble components and carry out pressure testing to ensure quality and safety in a well-established engineering environment.

Strong mechanical assembly experience, hydraulic tubing skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings are essential.

• Maintain workshop housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
• Work efficiently to scheduled allocated hours.

Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Salary: £37,000 per year

We are looking for a skilled Assembly & Test Fitter to join our client's team, carrying out in-house assembly and testing to exact customer specifications. If you have a strong background in mechanical assembly, hydraulic tubing, and reading engineering drawings, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company in the engineering sector.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Assemble components accurately in line with customer and company procedures.
• Bend and thread light bore hydraulic tubing according to customer schematic drawings.
• Conduct pressure testing in line with strict specifications.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain a high level of workshop housekeeping and actively follow the 5S program.
• Work efficiently to scheduled allocated hours.
