Job summary

Future Prospects group are recruiting an Assembly Technician for Newark/Mansfield outskirts on a full-time, permanent basis. Starting salary £30,000, rising to £32,000 after probation, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm pattern and free onsite parking.

You will join a small, busy team to assemble electrical control panels, wiring, plumbing and associated mechanical/electrical components, ensuring high quality and timely delivery for clients.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification to BTEC Level 3 or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working in an electrical engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrics, pumps and control systems.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Programming: check and configure PLCs; support programming queries.
• Assemble electrical wiring in control panels (PLC) and plumbing in panels.
• Assemble all mechanical and electrical equipment using correct hand tools.
• Prepare and pack equipment to suit production schedule.
• Work with project team to meet production schedule and client requirements.
• Test and monitor equipment to high quality standards and ensure smooth commissioning.
