Job summary

Gi Group is seeking an Assembly Technician in Ware/Stanstead Abbotts to assemble and test electro-mechanical products, including servo motors and PCB sub-assemblies. You will follow technical drawings, perform functional tests, and troubleshoot faults to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires experience in an assembly environment, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read drawings. Contract is temporary ongoing with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in an assembly/production environment (electro-mechanical preferred).
• Confident using hand and power tools (e.g., T-bars, Allen keys, screwdrivers).
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings/specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components in line with technical drawings and specifications.
• Build electro-mechanical assemblies including servo motors and PCB sub-assemblies.
• Test completed assemblies for correct operation and functionality.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faults; report issues and elevate where required.
• Identify and replace defective components to maintain output quality.
• Carry out basic equipment and tooling checks/maintenance.
• Work safely at all times, following health & safety and quality procedures.

Location: Ware / Stanstead Abbotts

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Hours: Mon-Thu: 8:00am-5:00pm & Fri: 8:00am-2:30pm (hours may change in 2026)
