Job summary

KLA, the SPTS division, designs and manufactures wafer processing solutions and related equipment. This Assembly Technician role sits in our manufacturing team, supporting high-quality builds across electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies, with shift patterns including early and late weeks and potential night work.

You will follow SOPs, ensure QA, and work with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Production builds of electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Provide high-quality assembly expertise and manufacturing method knowledge.
  • Assemble a wide variety of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Carry out vacuum leak checks of finished product to the highest standard.
  • Follow SOPs to ensure quality assurance and meticulous record keeping.
  • Collaborate with quality and production engineering teams for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain safety and SOPs and adhere to department processes and regulations.

Our Assembly Technicians are part of a team who ensure we meet the required quality standard across the full range of our SPTS single-wafer products and helping the company meet our customers’ requirements and expectations! You’ll be working in our high performing manufacturing team to assemble our sophisticated processing equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to establish a career in a fast-growing, award-winning company with a clearly defined career development path! This role requires shift work; Monday to Friday 6am-2pm (week 1) and Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm (week 2). There may also be the requirement to work on a night shift basis. This is a permanent role and we have a number of these positions available currently.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Production builds of electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Providing high quality assembly expertise and knowledge of manufacturing methods.
  • Assembling a wide variety of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Carrying out Vacuum leak checking of finished product to the highest standard.
  • Following standard operation procedures (SOP’s) to ensure quality assurance and carry out the associated checks with meticulous record keeping.
  • Working with quality and production engineering teams to ensure continuous improvement of workplace.
  • Maintaining safety and standard operating procedures, ensuring safe working practices always, and adhering to any department processes, rules, and regulations.
