Job summary

ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited is seeking experienced Assembly Technicians to join our electro-mechanical engineering team in the South Cambridgeshire area. You will assemble precision prototypes and finished products, including soldering, wiring and cable harnesses, and integrate mechanical and optical components where required.

The role requires HND/BTEC in electrical or electronics engineering, hands-on experience with QA processes, and the ability to work onsite, drive, and travel as

Qualifications

• HND / BTEC in electrical or electronics engineering and demonstrable experience in electronics, mechanical or manufacturing of electro-mechanical devices.
• Experience of mechanical assembly and ideally integration of optical assembly.
• Strong appreciation of QA processes and documentation within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills to deliver projects and prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototypes and finished products including soldering, wiring and cable harnesses.
• Perform mechanical integration and use of hand power tools for precision assembly.
• Ensure QA documentation and processes are followed in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate to meet project timelines and travel as required.

Supporting the assembly of precision mechanical and electronic product systems

South Cambridgeshire; £24,000 to £34,000 DoE

This electro-mechanical engineering company build low-to-medium volume products used in the aviation and defence sectors. They are looking for experienced Assembly Technicians to put together prototypes and finished products. This could include soldering, wiring and cable harnesses, mechanical integration, and use of hand power tools for precision assembly.

Requirements:

• HND / BTEC in electrical or electronics engineering, and demonstrable experience in electronics, mechanical or manufacturing of electro-mechanical devices.
• Experience of mechanical assembly and ideally integration of optical assembly.
• Strong appreciation of QA processes and documentation within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills are needed to deliver projects and prioritise tasks.

Interested candidates must be eligible for security clearance, be able to work full time onsite, and be able to drive (and ideally have their own vehicle). Workshop / offices are commutable from (south) Cambridgeshire, north Essex and north Hertfordshire. Some business travel may be required.
