The role

You'll assemble a variety of mechanical and electronic products, from individual parts and sub-assemblies through to completed units. You'll follow technical information closely, check your work and raise any issues that could affect quality or production.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building products and sub-assemblies to engineering drawings, wiring schedules and work instructions.
  • Carrying out soldering, crimping, wiring and other fine assembly tasks.
  • Selecting and using suitable hand tools and production equipment.
  • Checking finished work with measuring and test equipment.
  • Recording work accurately using company systems and production documentation.
  • Flagging defects, build concerns or differences between instructions and components.
  • Following quality, safety and production procedures.
  • Working with other teams to resolve issues and maintain a steady production flow.
  • Sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing ideas to improve how work is done.
About you

You'll have experience in a manufacturing or production setting and be comfortable working carefully to technical instructions. You'll be organised, dependable and able to balance quality with agreed production times.

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Practical soldering and crimping skills.
  • The ability to understand engineering drawings and technical build information.
  • Confidence using assembly tools and equipment.
  • Good attention to detail and a consistent approach to quality.
  • Basic IT skills and experience entering or retrieving information on computer systems.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • The flexibility to respond to changing priorities.

Experience with electronic or electro-mechanical products, surface mount technology (SMT), or continuous improvement would be useful. The company is also keen to hear from people who want to build their technical skills.

If you enjoy precision assembly and would like to contribute to products used in subsea applications around the world, we'd be pleased to hear from you
