Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Gloucestershire is seeking an entry-level Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will set and operate machining, perform safety checks, and complete first-off inspections to ensure quality.

You will support the setup and operation of automated assembly equipment, carry out TPM and routine machine maintenance, maintain a clean work area, and follow the Health & Safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating machining
• Carrying out safety checks within specified time limits
• Completing first off inspections
• Supporting the setup and operation of automated assembly equipment
• Carrying out inspection requirements laid down in the Quality Manual
• Participating in improving and standardising best practice workplace organisation and manufacturing methods
• Recording information to maintain and demonstrate the performance of the cell via the KPI board
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
• Complying with Health & Safety policy
• Maintaining integrity and confidentiality
• Carrying out TPM and routine maintenance on machines
• Supporting other manufacturing processes such as assembly & packing in high volume manufacturing

Job description

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you would:

• Responsibility for setting and operating machining
• Ensure safety checks are carried out within specified time limits
• Ensure first off inspection are completed
• Support the set-up and operation of Automated assembly equipment
• Carry out inspection requirements laid down in the Company Quality Manual
• Participate in improving and standardising best practice workplace organisation and manufacturing methods
• Record all information required to maintain and demonstrate the performance of the cell via the KPI board
• Other duties that are appropriate to experience and qualification as directed by management
• Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy
• Comply with the Company Health & Safety policy at all times
• To maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
• Carry out TPM and routine maintenance on machines where applicable
• Supporting all other manufacturing processes - for example assembly & packing. Experience of high volume manufacturing
