Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a Leicester-based manufacturing site for a General Assembly Team Leader. You will oversee a team of assembly operatives while remaining hands-on with production activities to ensure smooth workflow and output.

Responsibilities include supervising workloads, pump assembly, operating basic machinery, coordinating with warehouse and other departments, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping on site in Leicestershire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate work across the General Assembly team.
• Assemble pumps and support production across different areas when required.
• Operate and carry out basic set-up of machinery.
• Coordinate with warehouse, office and other internal departments.
• Assist with picking, labelling, pallet preparation and returning materials.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow company procedures, SOPs and health & safety requirements.
• Report hazards, near misses and other safety concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency.
• Train, guide and coach team members, leading by example.
• Complete other reasonable duties associated with the role.
