Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Blackburn for an Assembly Operative to join their production team.

This is a hands-on role involving the preparation and cutting of panels to specification and will primarily involve operating a table saw, following drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate production.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, joinery, woodworking or similar is beneficial.
• Reliable to start at 6:00am.
• Hands-on role involving preparation and cutting to specification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a table saw to cut panels and materials to specification.
• Measure and check materials before cutting.
• Follow production drawings and work instructions.
• Prepare products for next stage of manufacture.
• Carry out basic assembly and production duties.
• Check finished work for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area.
• Report issues with materials, machinery or finished products.
• Work as part of production team to meet deadlines.

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Blackburn for an Assembly Operative to join their production team.

This is a hands‑on manufacturing role involving the preparation and cutting of panels and products to specification. The successful candidate will primarily operate a table saw, ensuring materials are cut accurately and safely before moving through the production process.

This is an early‑start role, so candidates must be able to reliably get to site for a 6:00am start.

Experience within manufacturing, joinery, woodworking, construction or a similar practical environment would be beneficial.

The role:

• Operating a table saw to cut panels and materials accurately to the required specifications.
• Measuring and checking materials before cutting to ensure correct dimensions.
• Following production drawings, measurements and work instructions.
• Preparing products ready for the next stage of manufacture.
• Carrying out basic assembly and production duties as required.
• Checking finished work for accuracy and quality.
• Handling materials safely throughout the production process.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working area.
• Following all company health and safety procedures, particularly when operating machinery.
• Working as part of a production team to meet daily requirements and deadlines.
• Reporting any issues with materials, machinery or finished products to the appropriate supervisor.
• Supporting other areas of production when required.
