Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment in Telford. You will assemble electrical boxes from drawings, perform quality checks and assist with packing and site duties across Stafford Park and Halesfield.

Ideal candidates have assembly or production experience, can read drawings, and are flexible to work across departments. Training will be provided; a permanent role may follow for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, production or manufacturing.
• Able to read technical drawings or work instructions.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different departments and sites.
• Reliable transport or ability to travel to Stafford Park and Halesfield sites.

Responsibilities

Assembly Operative - Cable Components

Telford (Stafford Park & Halesfield)

£12.80 per hour

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

We are currently recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment in Telford.

This role involves the assembly of cable components, including cable box bushings and cable boxes, working to quality standards and production targets.

Please note: The company operates from two sites in Telford, Stafford Park and Halesfield. Candidates must be able to travel to and work from both locations as required.

Duties will include:

• Assembling electrical boxes from technical drawings
• Carrying out occasional brazing work
• Performing quality checks on completed products
• Picking and packing products when required
• Heavy lifting and manual handling of products and materials
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Supporting other areas of production as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous assembly, production, or manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings or work instructions
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Flexibility to work across different departments and sites when required
• Reliable transport or the ability to travel to both Stafford Park and Halesfield sites
• Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting duties safely
