Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an Assembler in Poole, Dorset to join an electronics manufacturer producing high-quality PCB and electronic assemblies. You will hand solder and assemble boards to tight tolerances in a clean production environment.

This full-time role offers a Monday-Thursday day shift (7:30am–4pm) and Friday short shift (7:30am–1pm), with weekly pay and a clear path to permanent employment in a well-established company.

Qualifications

• Previous PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing experience.
• Strong hand soldering skills with fine-pitch components.
• Good understanding of SMT and through-hole processes.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Hand soldering electronic components to a high standard
• PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole processes)
• Working with fine-pitch components with accuracy and care
• Mechanical assembly of electronic units and enclosures
• Cable preparation, crimping, and wiring tasks
• Inspecting, testing, and quality checking completed assemblies
• Rework and modification of electronic boards where required
• Working from technical drawings, BOMs, and build instructions
