Thorn Baker Industrial is seeking Assembly Operatives for an Heanor-based role on a PM shift (16:00-22:00, Mon-Fri). The role involves assembling components, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Training is provided, with emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork.

The position is full-time with basic pay of £12.71 per hour and enhanced overtime rates. Applicants should be prepared for repetitive tasks and prolonged standing in a production environment.

Formación

• Experience in assembly or production is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Experience operating a sewing machine is advantageous.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts.

Day-to-Day

• Begin your shift with a team briefing outlining daily targets, safety updates, and workflow strategies.
• Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and meeting production deadlines.
• Conduct routine quality checks to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure that tools and supplies are easily accessible.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to support smooth operations and problem-solving.
• Rotate between tasks or departments as needed to meet production priorities and enhance your skills.
• Wrap up each day by organizing your workstation, documenting production progress, and preparing for the next shift.

The shift times are:

16:00-22:00 Monday to Friday

The basic pay is £12.71/h, overtime is paid on enhanced rate.
