Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Maidenhead is seeking a skilled Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team. You will assemble sub-assemblies and finished products from engineering drawings, using hand tools and workshop equipment.

The role offers a compressed 4-day week option, overtime paid at time and a half, private medical insurance, a discretionary annual profit bonus of up to 5%, a company pension with matched contributions up to 8%, cycle to work, and an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assemblies and finished products per drawings.
• Use hand tools and workshop equipment to complete assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure standards.
• Identify faults, report issues and perform rework as needed.
• Maintain a tidy, safe and organised workspace.

Job Title: Assembler

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (Early Finish Every Friday)

We are currently recruiting for an Assembler to join a growing manufacturing business in Maidenhead. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with assembly or production experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in building high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assembler, you will:

• Assemble sub-assemblies and finished products in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
• Use a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment to complete assemblies
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and assembly documentation
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
• Identify faults and defects, reporting issues and completing rework when required
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised working environment

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience within an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience using hand tools and assembly equipment
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Strong practical skills and good manual dexterity
• Experience working within a workshop or production setting
