Moody's Analytics is seeking a senior data analytics leader to drive firm-wide analytics capabilities across commercial, financial, product, and market domains.

You will develop metrics, build dashboards, and deliver actionable insights to Strategy, Finance, and Sales, using advanced analytics and AI-powered tools. Collaboration with senior leaders is essential to align analytics with business priorities and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, data science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of analytics, BI, or strategy experience is expected.

Skills and Competencies

• 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or commercial strategy roles
• Proven track record of enabling strategic and operational decisioning through data insights
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to create structured, detailed, and compelling analyses addressed to various audiences within the organization
• Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Knowledge/comfort level with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Ability to work independently or in a small team setting against tight deadlines
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Education

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, data science, or related field; advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities

Drive firm-wide business analytics by delivering data-driven insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across critical commercial, financial, product, and market domains.

• Lead the development of analytics capabilities across commercial, financial (bookings), product, portfolio, use case, and market domains
• Support in the development of business metrics definitions and ensure effective implementation
• Deliver actionable insights to Strategy, Business units, Finance, and Sales through advanced analytics, data modeling, and visualization tools
• Research and champion innovative concepts that help stakeholders identify and understand strengths and weaknesses in the business in order to take relevant and timely actions
• Build and maintain dashboards that support strategic planning, performance tracking, portfolio analysis, and regular business reviews
• Establish scalable processes and tools to empower stakeholders with running their own analyses while creating capacity to assist with ad hoc business analysis needs
• Work closely with senior leaders in Finance, Strategy, Product, Sales, and Commercial teams to align analytics initiatives with business priorities and reporting needs
• Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform executive decision-making
• Serve as a trusted advisor on data-driven strategy and performance optimization

Reporting to Alayna Grewal, our team combines deep business understanding with advanced data mining and analytical capabilities to power strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
