Theatr Clwyd invites applications for a 18-month Trainee Director position. This residency offers an in-depth training across the running of a major producing theatre, with placements as Assistant Director on multiple productions in both the Moondance and Weston theatres.

The role provides exposure to all theatre-making aspects, and includes collaboration with Stiwdio Clwyd, Wales' national development studio for theatre-makers.

Responsibilities

• Spend 18 months at Theatr Clwyd gaining a full grounding in theatre making
• Work on four to six productions as Assistant Director across Moondance and Weston theatres
• Support work of Stiwdio Clwyd, the national development studio for Welsh theatre-makers
• Collaborate across teams to understand all aspects of creating, producing and running theatre
• Participate in productions such as Last Train for Hope, new Doll's House adaptation and a new musical, plus pantomime projects
