Job summary

EdEx - Education Recruitment is assisting a fantastic Secondary School in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham to recruit Aspiring Teachers for ASAP starts. You will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4, deliver pre-planned lessons across secondary subjects, and support pupils 1:1 and in small groups ahead of teacher training.

The role is full-time and long-term for the full academic year, with a salaried Schools Direct pathway starting in September 2027.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or strong academic background preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent behaviour management potential and classroom leadership are important.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 in the absence of the class teacher.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of Secondary subjects.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations throughout lessons.
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused and completing the work provided.
• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis where required.
• Providing additional academic support and intervention for pupils who require it.
• Working closely with Teachers, Heads of Department and the wider pastoral team.
• Developing strong classroom management, communication and leadership skills.
• Gaining invaluable Secondary School experience ahead of potential Teacher Training.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
