Teach Plus are recruiting Aspiring SEN Teachers for full-time roles in East London starting September 2026. Roles are suitable for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, HLTA or graduates looking to begin a career in SEN.

You will support pupils with a range of needs in inclusive school environments, working with SENCOs and support staff to develop academic, social and emotional skills.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• Teaching Assistant, LSA, HLTA or similar education experience is advantageous.
• A genuine interest in developing a career within SEN teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils with SEND.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities appropriate to individual needs.
• Work alongside experienced SEN Teachers and classroom support staff.
• Adapt learning activities to meet different abilities and learning styles.

• Support pupils with communication, behaviour and social development.
• Contribute to individual education and support plans.
• Work closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral team.

About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently working with a number of welcoming and supportive schools across East London who are looking to appoint enthusiastic Aspiring SEN Teachers for full-time positions from September 2026.

These opportunities are ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Higher Level Teaching Assistants or graduates who are looking to take the next step into teaching and develop a career within Special Educational Needs.

The schools provide supportive and inclusive environments where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.You will work closely with experienced teachers, SENCOs and support staff, gaining valuable classroom experience while developing your understanding of SEND provision.

As an Aspiring SEN Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication and interaction needs, behavioural needs and complex learning needs.
