Job summary

Guardian Selection Limited is recruiting for an Early Career Teacher/ECT (Primary) in Sheffield to start September 2026. The post offers a daily rate up to £220, with full and part-time options within a long-term/temporary contract.

You will plan and deliver lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, assess pupil progress and differentiate learning to meet diverse needs, while developing your classroom practice in a supportive primary school environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience or training within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of primary teaching and classroom practice.
• Good communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
• Reflective and enthusiastic approach to developing teaching practice.
• Commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons appropriate to pupils' age and stage of learning.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs.
• Establish positive classroom routines and manage behaviour effectively.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.
