Job summary

TeacherActive in the United Kingdom is seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for primary provision. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across EYFS to KS2, adapt to abilities, and work with experienced teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment.

This role supports new teachers starting their career, offering opportunities in day-to-day supply, short-term or long-term placements to gain diverse classroom experience and build confidence in teaching practice.

Qualifications

• Holds or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Is completing or has recently completed their teacher training
• Is passionate and enthusiastic about primary education
• Has a good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
• Is confident, positive and eager to develop
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Is committed to helping every child achieve their potential

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons
• Teach within EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Develop your classroom and behaviour management skills
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor and support pupil progress
• Adapt lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs
• Work alongside experienced teachers, TAs and support staff
• Build valuable experience across primary school settings
• Develop your confidence and teaching practice
