Job summary

Arcus FM Limited in Glasgow invites applications for a Mechanical & Electrical PPM Engineer trainee. You will start with a 3-month development programme at the National Training Centre in Stevenage, with travel possibly including overnight stays.

After training, you join the M&E team to perform planned maintenance across a portfolio, following SOPs and safety standards. The role emphasizes upskilling, teamwork, and delivering high-quality service to customers in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English, Maths and Science are required.
• A Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience in a retail or fast-paced operational environment is desirable.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning or Plumbing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled M&E PPM tasks and related paperwork promptly and professionally.
• Support reactive maintenance activities on site when needed.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed and hazards are escalated.
• Carry out asset surveys, CDS checks, ERM updates and seasonal audits to maintain compliance.
• Use Arcus HELIX to manage daily activities and meet SLA targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by reducing travel time and improving task completion.
• Develop professionally through structured mentoring and varied tasks.
