Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is recruiting a Trainee Financial Planner for the Glasgow or Edinburgh office. You will support Financial Planners in managing client portfolios and help identify new opportunities, assisting with proposals and engagement documents.

You will contribute to delivering ongoing financial planning services, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining up-to-date client records, while adhering to FCA requirements and demonstrating a commitment to development.

Qualifications

• Working towards, or holding, relevant financial planning qualifications.
• Good understanding of financial planning concepts and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate with planners, paraplanners and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Financial Planners in managing a portfolio of existing clients.
• Assist with the delivery of ongoing financial planning services.
• Provide support on ad hoc advice requests and planning issues.
• Help prepare client meeting documentation and follow-up actions.
• Assist with annual review processes and client servicing activities.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Identify and develop opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
